Wow! Thanks to arachnaut for the preset compilation. It's really amazing how flexible Ubermod can be.

I have one request, other than the preset name suggestion, and that's for a instant reset button, unless of course it's already possible and I'm not aware of it... When auditioning the presets, long decaying effects will bleed into the next preset, so an instant reset would clear the "palate" during the "tasting", so to speak. ;)

The Smoothing time in the WARP section can control the transition between presets. This setting is part of the preset, so the rate of transition between presets is controlled by the preset you are loading.

As far as clearing the delay line, there isn't any way of doing this without causing a big CPU spike. I do this for the reverbs, but ÜberMod is designed to be like an analog delay line, that has variable taps, but the same audio signal circulating in the main buffers.

I don't know if I already posted this here when I first made it but I recently rediscovered an older track of mine with has a lot of Übermod (and other Valhalla plugins) on it: https://soundcloud.com/bronto-scorpio-sound/colours

I'm currently trying to to finish my first "real" EP and use a lot of Valhalla stuff for ittoo!

Simply the best effect plugins I ever used!

Cheers

Very nice track, Dennis.

Enjoyed it :)

Thanks! :)

Here is a small excerpt from the EP I'm working on:

Valhallafied EP Excerpt

That part uses a bunch of Valhalla plugins.
At about 25 sec an instance of VRoom starts to fade in for a cool stereo effect. I love how it handles the sharp transients, I don't know any other reverb that can do something like that.
After that an instance of Übermod does some crazy things :hihi:

Cheers

1) Sounds great, Dennis... adding you on soundcloud
2) Same here, brother, same here! ("...and use a lot of Vahalla...")

New preset, for those that like to utterly destroy the source signal:

<ValhallaUberMod pluginVersion="1.0.1" presetName="TheWindCriesMary" Mix="1" Depth="0.210999995" StereoWidth="1" Delay="1" Feedback="0" Spread="1" Slope="0.879999995" Skew="1" Random="0.980000019" TapGain="0.5" Diffusion="1" DiffSize="1" DiffModRate="0.117117114" DiffModDepth="1" LowCut="0" HighCut="1" SpatialXover="0.145728648" DetuneRate="1" DetuneDepth="1" VibratoRate="0.343859643" VibratoDepth="0.167999998" OverMod="0.979797959" DriveInGain="0.375" DriveOutGain="0.75" DriveNoiseGain="0.333333343" FeedbackRotate="0.5" SmoothingTime="0.0990990996" ColorMode="0" DelaySync="0" type="0.375" DiffEnable="1" Drive="0" DrivePrePost="1" Speed="1" InputPan="0.125"/>

Try it on a solo vocal. You'll see where the name comes from.

gawd, sean, I love your stuff, and your sense of humour.

Yup I love ÜberMod too. I remember when I first got it I went direct with my guitar, no distortion, just the cleans and peizos, and got lost in delay wash chorus heaven. My morning alarm clock went off before I realized how long I'd been noodling, and like a complete fool, I recorded none of it. Surprised my neighbors didn't demand my immediate eviction :D

Experimenting with Valhalla ÜberMod and VVV, innocent cello harmonics and sousaphone - singing and playing simultaneously (at the end of the track). ÜberMod inserted on the track with the instrumental clips, this was then sent into VVV on a Bus.

The stuff you do with the Valhalla plugins always blows me away. You ever think about making some tutorials? I'm not sure if the Adsense dollars would be worth the time and effort for you, but man, they're something I'd love to see from you.

Ubermod in particular, is one of those plugins that I just wish I understood better, and other than Sean himself, you probably have the next best understanding of that plugin.

Thanks for sharing the presets!

Thank you for the flowers - I could do a video tut for UberMod actually, usually I mainly post experiments, product demos and library walkthroughs on my youtube channel. Maybe I'll find some time between the years.
