Okay, problem has been solved, thanks everyone for the suggestions, now please stop suggesting!
______________
Preferably free or very cheap.
I have been using Hardline for a lot of my crunchiness...in fact it's almost become the secret ingredient to my music (not very secret any more).
While there are a lot of cases it adds just the right amount of crunch, sometimes it's not what I am looking for, even though I am looking for some crispiness to my music. Problem is, some of the sounds I apply it to it doesn't seem to do anything beneficial to it until I turn that knob to a certain point and then it's too much.

So what kind of distorto do you like using when you want to add a lot of nasty or a little nasty?

if you use two separate plugins, one for light nastiness, and one for heavy nastiness, what are they?

CamelCrusher is free (see link top right):

Cyanide might be useful, it's a free wave shaping plugin:

D16 Decimort (bit-crusher) or Devastor are both capable of nice crunchy distortion (not free).

Ohmicide is incredibly powerful ... well worth checking out. RP-Distort is excellent too.

Peace,
Andy.

+1 for Cyanide, gets a lot of use here. Fuzz Plus is good too.

Berrtill is another great freebie, and one that I think particularly excells at crispy & crunchy.

I love Terry West Exciter plugin. It has separate bass and treble controls so you can make adjustments to each. I didn't realize how much until I did an A/B compare and how lame the sounds were without it.
You couldn't get much nastier bang for the buck than Camel Crusher...+1

Hmmm, well I am glad to know CamelCrusher is a good one, I actually do have that one already. I use it a lot too, unfortunately when I want to add crispness to certain synth sounds it doesn't do me any good (and often times nor will Hardline)
I also have YouWaShock and Berrtill

As per the rest, I will check them out...I think starting with Ohmicide and osiris's sale pitch on Terry West's Exciter is definitely something I am going to check out too.

scratch Ohmicide, it looks nice, but it also has way too big of a price tag for me for right now.

Give TriDirt try... it can band slit, meaning of course that you can slightly overdrive the lows, fatten it up, add a bit of bite to the mids and then rip the high end to shreds. Seriously, if you don't try this (it's free), you'll surely be missing out.

All the other one's noted have their place as well, I can't go without Ccrusher, RP Distort etc, but for pure controlled mayhem, TriDirt is the SHIT!
