Hi Andrew,
My previous B2 projects were broken when I installed the new version. Each B2 instance defaulted back to it's initial startup preset, instead of what was loaded in the host. Is this normal?

No. Not normal. Was the plugin authorized? When the plug is not authorized it loads the default preset. If you enter your SN and close and reload your project then it should recall preset settings.
It was necessary to re-enter the SN on osx when going from 1.0.0 to the recent 1.1.0 builds. Did you have 1.0.0 installed before this version or did you have the more recent 1.1.0 build 171?
Could this be related?

It was authorized. I had the most recent build (171) and I opened my project to verify settings before following the manual process of installing the updated B2.Galbanum wrote:Hi.elxsound wrote:Hi Andrew,

It's not a big deal for me since this was a test project. I won't be able to test anything more tonight (deadline for another project looming), but if there's something you want me to test, including reinstalling the build 171 and repeating the process, just let me know and I can do that tomorrow.

Thanks. Investigating... I just reproduced it on OSX.6.8 using Cubase 7.
This is a fairly large issue. Thanks for pointing it out. Be careful not to re-save your project once loaded in this state with b2 instances having reverted to default presets, as this will then cause the previous plug-in setting that were saved into the project to be lost for good.

Hi Guys,
As elxsound pointed out (BIG thanks elxsound ), there was an issue with build 183. It did not load the correct settings in previously saved host project files, and instead all instances of B2 would revert to the default preset. That's definitely not good!
We blame the build date, as it was 3/13/13! Hopefully the "Ides of March" is better. (If your name is Julius or Caesar, you might want to hold off just to be sure... )
We've fixed it. New version is build 184. Same instructions as before.
To obtain it go here:
http://www.galbanum.com/shop/product_in ... cts_id=101
Use this coupon code at checkout:
B2_Update
(If you have already installed 183 there is no need to recopy the skin folder or do the preset organization stuff that you should have already done. Just replace the "audplg.dylib" on OSX, and "audplg32.dll" and "audplg64.dll" on Win.)
If you are still on build 171 and want to try this follow all of the instructions in the text file please.

Very interesting shootout between Bricasti, EpicVerb and B2.
See the first post and the last post.

DownTempo-ish, electronica/poptronica meets piano hyrbrid... Who knows what genre to call it... 118bpm... slow build to peak...
B2 and Breeze for verbs. Fairly minimal processing otherwise.

What text file? Sorry but I'm losing track, it's too much hassle to keep updating this so I'm just doing it infrequently. Do I need to reorganise folders or something? Is there a version I need to install before this one?Galbanum wrote:Hi Guys,

i feel sorry for trolling, but i have a question, i got to ask. using blackhole reverb everything sounds supersmooth when tweaked live. Can't something like this be achieved in B2 too? I am talking about absolutely no pops, crackles, zipper noises.
Finally!

There is a text file in the 184 download that gives full instructions. It's not overly complicated.
We don't consider 184 an offical release. It is just an intermediate step while we add AAX support. We just gave it out so people could make more custom presets and organize them as they like.
Final release will have an installer and the all the Is and Ts dotted and crossed etc.
(BTW Breeze is now loading as 64bit OSX. And B2 is Loading as AAX 64bit. Consider this an informal update status...)
