I'm still looking for a serious professional equalizer to use in the mix,
I mean something with a good sound and low cpu

right now I'm using Bias equalizer which is ok, I like it, it's very light and has a good sound
but I would like to improve the sound

I've tried:
Fabfilter pro-q
Voxengo gliss-eq

i like them both

any suggestion for something that rocks????

I use the Sonalksis mixing suite, EQ compressor and Gate. The EQ sounds great , the compressor is even better. They are 250 a pop, but they ran a sale a couple of months ago where I got all three of them for 250 bucks so if that ever happens again BUY IT. They have a fantastic sound.

Another strong vote here for DDMF. I'm very partial to IIEQ Pro for tracking. I use LP10 while mastering. I also get a lot of mileage out of SplineEQ. All three are great quality and are very affordable. BTW, The 6 band Para EQ included in the ToneBooster's Track Essentials bundle is very good as well.

Pro-Q is my favourite.
Very flexible fantastic GUI and a pleasure to use.

+1 for DDMF Iieq, and +1 for TB eq : the TB eq allows per band M/S, which can get very handy.

Anyway, I'm on thread. Any questions I can answer?

Dave.
Hi Dave,

Sorry, I've tried emailing you a few times at DMG recently but haven't heard back, so I've no other way to reach you about this....

I'll be getting a new PC soon (64 bit OS -- a step up from my present 32 bit machine). Am I allowed to have EQuality on both machines? If not, can I move it to the new machine? Either way, how do I go about getting it to the new machine? Or do I have to buy a new license?

Please get back to me when you can -- (perhaps via PM, to avoid any more derailing of this thread)-- as EQuality is my desert island EQ

PSP NobleQ

Blows away everything else I tried including the NI Premium Tube Series, which are also super good.

If you were only to get of the two, which would it be? Is IIEQ notieably less good for mastering than the LP10? IS LP10 noticeably less good for tracking?

LP10 has some latency, so it is not recommended for tracking.

Thanks. In which case, could IIEQ do both jobs well?

Yes, obviously ;)
(You can also try the free VoS Baxter eq for mastering, for a different flavour).

Global warming - no comment. Don't know enough to provide useful commentary.
I think he was refering to global (ananlog) warming... so SURELY you must know SOMETHING :D
