The compressor doesn't oversample internally, but it should handle all sample rates correctly.zentatonic wrote:This looks beautiful. I'm about to demo. How about oversampling?

Nice - call me 'no one' !kmatheussen wrote:... but I did actually think about making the Radium Compressor work like Neodynimum, where you could separate the volume spectrum in several bands. However, I feared that it would be a lot of programming for a feature no one would use, so I let it be. But perhaps I should do this.

Have you considered adding internal oversampling as an option in the future? I'm not part of the alias police. Ever since messing with it on Reacomp, I'm just a fan of it in compressors.

Haven't thought about that, but maybe I'll add an option for it in the next version.zentatonic wrote:Have you considered adding internal oversampling as an option in the future? I'm not part of the alias police. Ever since messing with it on Reacomp, I'm just a fan of it in compressors.

Absolutely brilliant interface. I don't need another compressor, but it's worth it for the interface alone.
Really nice work.

Demoing the AU version, are you? How did you get hold of it?lnikj wrote:Wow that was quick. Demoing now.
When I click 'Demo versions for Mac OS' at http://users.notam02.no/~kjetism/radium/download.php, I come to an empty folder, with the exception of a Readme, offering to send a beta.

You are trying to download the Radium music editor, not the Radium compressor. Sorry, the web page is a bit confusing.
Go here instead, under "Download": http://users.notam02.no/~kjetism/radium ... plugin.php
Direct link to pkg file: http://users.notam02.no/~kjetism/radium ... r_demo.pkg

Tiny detail but in the deno installer options the mono/stereo options are listed twice, verbatim - I presume you meant to distinguish them as VST and AU versions. NP as I installed both.
As others have commented I don't NEED another compressor, but I LIKE the interface of this a lot. Still playing

You're right. It should be specified that two of those are AU plugins, while the other two are VST plugins. I'll fix that.lnikj wrote:Tiny detail but in the deno installer options the mono/stereo options are listed twice, verbatim - I presume you meant to distinguish them as VST and AU versions. Many thanks for the heads up! Looks like a very interesting GUI concept.kmatheussen wrote: You are trying to download the Radium music editor, not the Radium compressor. Sorry, the web page is a bit confusing.

Well it's certainly pretty.
Is there any research that prompts this UI design?
Perhaps users configuring this vs a 5-knob interface, then a blind team comparing results?
I've spent an awfully long time thinking about how to visualise dynamic processes, which culminated in the adaptive-law time series in Compassion (with which you can 'push' a signal over the threshold and then 'pull' down the ratio, and colour is used to visualise the GR attack/release).
Always interested in these things. Are there any papers on this I could read?
Dave.
