Not at all. I just mentioned that because for me things work better when I choose VSTs I feel good about...meaning if there's too many hoops to jump through I'm already on to the next one! It's not like I'm going to run out of VSTs with new ones coming out constantly!
I use Nebula which isn't the easiest thing to use but the results are worth it to me. But, overall I don't have as much patience with the tools so I can make more music. YMMV.

Faraday used to be a brilliant freebie... now Goodhertz are charging for it. Definitely still worth checking out. I dig Goodhertz: refreshingly clean GUIs, innovative functionality and great sound.Naenyn wrote:Here are a few more:

Not sure anyone has mentioned this chorus plugin from Acon:

Cheers for the thread! Finding some plugins that I've missed.

Yep, it renders these (otherswise quite good) plugs uselessNumanoid wrote:Stagecraft Software has released SC AutoFilter and SC BitCrusher, two free VST effect plugins for Windows and Mac.
EDIT: A bit irritatining but loading up the software presents users with a register window, here one needs to be online input E-mail press free registration, and then press registration. The E-mail I got from the dev is rather confusing as it contains no serial.

The Canary is out now (x64 VST & AU) - The Canary may come in handy when recording and/or mixing drums. Whether your sound is missing some brilliance or has no tone, applying the Canary will fill the gaps. The plugin is suitable for any shell and will enhance the attack and sustain (with parametric key/pitch knob) just as you need it. Try it out - it's free!

Metric Halo Thump(2) free, now vst as well 32/64bit (was AAX only)
"Thump is a unique audio processor that allows you to synthesize low frequency audio
to add low end to a track or generate another sound entirely..."
MH is asking for mail subscription, as a customer of their payware for a longer period of time
I can safely say, no scam, spam, marketing hype and used sparingly for informations.

Sanford Reverb
Sanford Delay
Bass Tightener
These are based on plugins originally created a few years ago but have been re-written to share the same C++ code base. Additionally, they have been compiled as 64 bit plugins.
