The edge that The Drop has is its extensive MIDI integration. It's practically turning out to be a drop in replacement for a sofsynth's filter; Andy just mentioned it'll even have 0-100% adjustable MIDI keyboard tracking. It's probably the freshness of the tech behind the models, but it's more bolder sounding than FilterFreak, which makes Filterfreak sound a tad dated.
