Announcing new AmpliTube Custom Shop with ENGL amp models

Featuring new high-gain ENGL E650 and Powerball amps to give players more power tools for their DAW

We are proud to announce the newest release of AmpliTube Custom Shop for Mac and PC. This latest update includes top models from the innovative high-gain German amplifier manufacturer ENGL. These new models give metal and classic to modern hard rock players new high-end power tools to perfectly sculpt their tones in their DAW.

ENGL E650

The E650 all-tube amp head is an ENGL signature model that brings an incredible range of rhythm and high-gain lead tones from a dual mode amp. It delivers a vast array of tones from sparkling clean to bone-crunching distortion, and everything in between thanks to its two switchable channels with different gain ranges, a shared EQ section and a contour button that boosts the mid-frequency range between 200 and 500Hz, and bright switches for boosting the upper treble range. The ENGL E650 conjures up classic rock-god tones from the 80s and 90s as well as heavy crunch and distortion for tomorrow’s tone connoisseurs.

ENGL Powerball

The ENGL Powerball model is based on one of the most powerful modern high-gain amplifiers. It is highly regarded for heavy rhythm tones and its many sound-sculpting options. The Powerball model has two main channels, and then each channel has two different modes. Channel I offers "Clean" and "Crunch,” and Channel II has "Low Lead" and "High Lead." It has the power and flexibility to create everything from modern super high-gain leads to heavy crunch rhythms to ultra-clear clean tones.

ENGL Cabinets

The new AmpliTube CS release also features two matched ENGL speaker cabinets: the E412 Standard and the E412 Pro XXL. These perfect companion cabinets are capable of rendering the complex harmonic structure, razor sharp attack and massive low end thump of the amplifiers at their best, without losing anything in the midrange frequencies.

Pricing & Availability

To access the new gear models in the AmpliTube Custom Shop, users need to download AmpliTube version 3.12, which is also a free update for current AmpliTube owners, and is available for Mac/PC. The gear models in the Custom Shop are sold using Gear Credits and are priced between 5 and 30 credits each. Gear Credit Packs start as low as $19.99/€15.99 (for 20 credits) and go up to $749.99/€639.99* (for 1,500 credits).

Cool stuff, Look forwards to trying dude. Not trying to rain on the parade of new gear but speaking of ENGL I would really like to see the Invader II with all its bells and whistles in the future inside AT, You probably have either seen it in person/played it Peter or seen this video going over its features; https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z73_ZXiMSjU

Nice one :tu: and all the best, As said look forwards to trying the new toys out as always :D

Thanks, Dean! Note that those that have the Anger model now can simply update AmpliTube Custom Shop and do a Gear-->Restore My Gear and the official Powerball will replace it.

So after 8 months of waiting we have 1 new amp...

I love the Powerball/Anger model (have had it since it came out). Anyone who doesn't have it and likes high-gain should definitely get it. But...I'm majorly disappointed. Too long to wait for one amp. Where is a good Mesa/Boogie Mark IV or V?

i think the announcement has a typo. unless it's an amp for bats, a switch that boosts "200 to 500k" will have no effect on anyone human.
I don't know what to write here that won't be censored, as I can only speak in profanity.

Who else puts out new amps every few months? Uh, no one.

Anyhoo... The new gear all sounds great! From the Engl site, it looks like the XXL cab has V30s, and the Standard cab has V60s, which I didn't even know Celestion was still making. In any event, these are some of the best sounding cabs from IK yet, IMO. They work well with many of the existing heads. I already have the Powerball (nee´Anger), but I can't resist grabbing the rest of these.

I'm kinda scared that my anger will disappear! :scared:

No, it says "purchased on" and is there.

It's confusing though. Will definitely take the new boy and cabs out for a spin today.

Funny.

Many days that describes how I fall down the rabbit hole looking things up on the internet so don't think you're alone or singled out there!

I didn't take it that way. It's was funny, and kinda true

So far so good. I'm washing right now so it's too hard to tell for sure but I have a feeling this will make it into the collection.

Of course I'm always amazed when I plug into powerball/anger. That is probably the very best sim I've ever used.
