Did you check your spam folder? No idea if you've gotten a response yet or not, but it's just a thought...

Hi Sean. I see you posting lots of stuff on Twitter and replying to posts on KVR but hopefully you can get around to answering brand new customer support e-mails. It's been 3 days...
Please send your support requests to support at valhalla dsp dot com. This allows me to filter the requests, and respond to them as quickly as possible.

You may also want to check out the FAQ, to see if the question has been answered:

http://www.valhalladsp.com/faq

I also have a forum for all things Valhalla related here at KVR, which is a great place to ask non-pressing questions that might be of interest to all users of Valhalla plugins:

Looking forward to hearing from you soon!

I think the "group" code at JRR will get you 16% off.

I thought I'd test the marketplace first, but yeah, that will work. Thanks!

How do free reverbs like MuVerb or Tal reverbs compare to those super reverbs, say on a scale from 0 to 10?

MuVerb is very good.

It works on a lot of stuff.

TAL Reverb 2 is also pretty highly rated from what I have read. I think it is very good too.

TAL Reverb 3 might be one of my all time favourite free reverbs. I think it is absolutely gorgeous with its sound.

Scale of 1-10?

In a mix?

With material that it works with?

7 out of 10.

Give or take. I would say the TALs are more versatile though.

Sorry for the rebump but I have to ask about the waves IR 1 on sale. It seems to work fine but is really limited with IR'S and it's a PITA to load stuff like the britcasti (no drag and drop) I'm getting the feeling that it's "ok" but still not worth the coin (unless I'm missing something)

Also, I don't know why I couldn't use the M4L convo but seems to work fine now and is probably the nice free/easy solution  :help:

I love the hofa, but with the minor dropout issue on really long ir's, I can't justify that price.

I love Muverb and for me it's one of the best sounding ones I've encountered. Very smooth tails and has a wet/dry mix to make it even more flexible when you don't want to play with the send levels. I guess I'd give it a 9 and think its great regardless of free. I played with one of the old versions of Tal long ago but found some of the tails to be a bit more metallic. Perhaps tweaked well it could be useful. That was a long time ago so I can't rate it accurately.

I use both and agree with you. MuVerb in particular sounds really good, but seldom gets mentioned for whatever reason, maybe too few people know it even exits. If I were not a Mulab user and thus familiar with their site, I would never have seen the separate and free MuVerb, either. It does use quite a lot of CPU, but I guess that is normal for a good reverb. Its user interface is a bit dull, but does the trick...

I think it's a decent convo verb, and Waves has an extensive library of IRs you can download. It's nearly 5 GB and is on their site -- look under "Downloads" for the link.

Whether you'd like IR-1 more than another option like Reflektor is another question. You're probably demoing it already though, right? :)
