It's also too buggy for use. I suspect it's pretty much a reduced version of WaveArts Trackplug anyway as it was designed by the same dev:

Trackplug is the best channelstrip I know of.
Same dev?!?!?

+1 on Alloy, though it fell out of my rotation these days. Don't feel it is CPU intensive (modules can be turned off after all, EQ and comp uses very little).

Too bad TeamDNR went under w so things gone wrong. Was great.

How would you compare Eventide UltraChannel to iZotope Alloy2 ?

Nonsense

The best Strip I know os Console 1 although it does not match the OPs demand

Something like DDMF MetaPlugIn (or similar) with your own choice of individual plugins acting as a 'module' of your choice for personal taste might be worth trying out/having a meddle with to build one's 'ideal' channel strip

I really like in no particular order;

Metric Halo's ChannelStrip (on version 3 now) http://mhsecure.com/metric_halo/product ... rip-3.html
McDSP's Analog Channel http://mcdsp.com/plug-ins/analog-channel/ & Channel G: http://mcdsp.com/plug-ins/channel-g/
URS Classic Console Strip Pro 2: http://www.ursplugins.com/ursStripPro.html Focusrite LiquidMix even though they've discontinued the hardware...That is where something like SoftTube's Console 1 would come in (I'm not really that up to date on trying everything and although I have some of SoftTube's plugins in my toolkit, I've not gotten around to looking at Console 1 amongst many other releases). The AVID Channel Strip which is included with Pro Tools and based on Euphonix System 5: http://www.avid.com/US/products/avid-channel-strip Variety of Sound's Nasty VCS is cracking: http://varietyofsound.wordpress.com/201 ... sed-today/ The Wave Arts Track Strip 5 is great and the filters to completely remove unwanted/unneeded low and high frequencies is a feature I like a lot. The SSL Duende Channel Strip and Drum Strip are quality as are the G & E Channels that come in Waves SSL4000 Collection. iZotope's Alloy 2 is also indeed a lot of channel strip and covers a lot of ground, The SONAR Pro Channel components are really decent also I find. MAGIX also do some great kind of channel strip plus more in one of their plugin packs which are worth a try

I've probably missed out a good few but that is what I'm like when sleep deprived, Which is all too common

Plenty of choices available but as mentioned rolling your own can offer a lot of advantages, A bit tedious to setup and save templates but once done you'll have everything ready to go quickly

All the best and tl;dr everything as I'm knackered

I was just thinking this plug looks similar to WaveArts stuff, which is incredibly nice!

I doublechecked some old threads - seems I misremembered - it's the Sonic Timeworks dev, not Wavearts. Does have a very similar featureset to Trackplug though, just less EQ bands and only one comp. I moved to Trackplug anyway as it seemed a good replacement - MixControl crashes too much and fails too many plugin scans on my system to be useable anymore.

Hi Saverio from hornet plugins here, channel strip mkII is a plugin designed in 2010 and was the first I made, I admit that the time has come for a version 3 update. I want to put there some of the new technology we have developed during the years like auto gain, VU and peak meter per module of course a larger gui, a better saturation engine more eq choice and the addition of our sw34eq model, ms processing per module and other useful stuff

If you have other suggestions just get in touch with us at http://www.hornetplugins.com

Saverio indeed has some very fine plugins. Would be great if his Channel Strip would move to version 3. :tu:

+ 100. My new favorite channel strip. It was not available for Windows until very recently but I am preferring this over my wavearts trackplug. The eq is incredibly clean and responsive. It doesn't add any audible artifacts or narrow the stereo image like a lot of plugins do. It's also very efficient on cpu. The compressor is very clean and doesn't kill the transients as much as a lot of other clean compressors.

Saverio, that sounds great! I still like your concept and if it wasn't for that metering and the tiny tiny gain "knobs" in the modules i would've bought channel strip back then! As you said, you have all the technology, m/s processing and VU/peak meter sound great, I'd vote for configurable signal flow and a lighter GUI (like autogain pro) and I will buy it.

+1 very interested in a hornet channelstrip like that, with all their latest technologies included. And of course low cpu usage and price :D
No band limits, aliasing is the noise of freedom!
