Version 3.7.0 is out, and as usual, no changelog on their site to see what has changed. Installing the demo version of Complete II didn't provide any documentation on changes either.

The Evolution bundle has a version number of 3.6.5 - a new Freeze-mode was added to Evolution.
The Classic-bundle was updated to 3.7.0, here are the changes copied from the installer window:

- Freeze : agitation on Center and Width
- Freeze : cursor display
- StandAlone : variable speed on input file
- StandAlone : resample input file
- PitchAccum : new waveform for modulation
- trackpad and mousewheel management
- 2D controller : lock of horizontal or vertical displacements

Live on video experiment: testing the new Freeze-mode in GRM Tools Evolution 3.6.5 using one of my production music tracks as input source, tweaking things on the fly, also morphing between presets I setup before the video session.

The state of the Freeze-switch can be stored in the morphable presets (1-16), which is good.

I was being stupid and installed the bundles separately rather than the Toal Bundle 1, this was copied from the installer:

Cheers for letting us know!
my other modular synth is a bugbrand

There are some undocumented changes. The plugins seem to load much faster than before when using the iLok dongle and a parameter handling related bug was fixed in the GRM Spaces panner. Unfortunately looks like a new bug was introduced in the GRM Spaces panner, which makes it crash if some other GRM plugin (possibly from the GRM Spaces bundle) is not loaded first.

Yes. Well, not critical, for me at least, but it is.
What regards GRM Spaces, hmm, i`m on the contrary, found that was fixed one well reproduced bug that caysed crash.

@Sampleconstruct (and any others) - how does the morphing using Warp compare with Zynaptiq's Morph2 - assuming it does that kind of thing?

They are different beast, in Morph 2 you morph two signals with each other (e.g. via the side-chain input), in Warp you rearrange the frequency components of the input signal.

From the GRM website:
You are, in effect, transferring a frequency from the input sound to a new position in the output sound, and the output sound will contain a rearrangement of the frequency components of the input sound. This can result in a radical change in timbre.

ok, thanks for the clarification. I'd seen your videos on the Morph2 and Melda thing so I value your opinion on this.

I did try Morph2 for a while but at the end of the day I still wasn't absolutely sold - I got some interesting sounds by morphing woodwinds and strings but really those usable points in the morph weren't hugely far from simply layering sounds - and I found it hard to justify the cost. I also tried Melda's thing but for me that was less musical.

Maybe a better route is to take a sound and then mess with it so GRM might be worth looking at - especially as it's multiple plugins within each product. When I have more time I think I'll demo it.

The GRM Grinder plug-in is actually closer to Morph 2 as you can inter-modulate two signals with each other.

ChamomileShark, Sampleconstruct,
Ircam Trax (or rather some one of three from trax) also doing similar thing to Zynaptiq Morph if i understand correctly (not tried Morph demo yet).
