I actually ended up updating to yosemite, so it all works fine now! Lovely on acoustic guitar - rolled off all the high end, sounds great.

Will there be a"pay-version" in the future?
Whoever wants music instead of noise, joy instead of pleasure, soul instead of gold, creative work instead of business, passion instead of foolery, finds no home in this trivial world of ours.

I installed the 64-bit version of the plug-in to my regular VST folder. It doesn't even show up after launching the DAW. Even a re-scan of the VST folder doesn't help. Code Red, where are you?

Post

No luck here. Tried installing x64 plugin (VST2 and VST3) in Reaper 5 x64. The VST2 doesn't even get discovered by the scan, and the VST3 crashes upon loading.

Windows 7 x64

Also, Ace (the guitar amp) does the same thing; doesn't get found during plugin folder scan. Could it be a runtime library I'm missing or something?

Updating windows should solve this.

Interesting, thanks for the timely response.
Guess I'll have to pass; OS updates make me wary, since my system runs great now and I don't want to risk upsetting some sort of delicate balance since I use this laptop live on stage.

Cheers for the free plugins though!

Try Gibson Les Paul Jr. and roll off some top end to tame the fizz.

It's still too early to tell.

Can anyone tell me how they managed to download Code Red? I've tried for the past four days and the download goes to about 50% then stops with the error 'Size mismatch'. I've tried downloading using Firefox (with and without DownThemAll) Internet Explorer and Opera on two different machines, one Win7 64bit and one Win 7 32 bit both fully updated. Neither machine has problems downloading anything else.

Just clicked on DOWNLOAD.

Yeah, I've done that. The download goes to 50% and then I get the error 'Size mismatch'.

Post

Have you Googled for 'size mismatch'? I've never come across that error myself.

I've never come across it before either, and it only seems to occur when trying to download Code Red (I downloaded a couple of other things I didn't really want just to check). I did Google the error before posting here. There are very few threads about it. Some suggested that it was a problem with DownThemAll in old versions of Firefox but my version is up to date. After I found that out I tried with Internet Explorer and Opera but still get the same message at the same point.

Post

Very odd. I'm on Windows 7 64 bit myself, using FireFox.

No worries. I just thought it sounded like an interesting thing to try.
