Yes. I bought it in January and thought I was getting a good deal at around $180US. but then I found out about 3rd party libraries, which are really the point of Nebula. $2000US later....

So beware. If you get N4 you are into a whole other platform and you'll likely end up soaking up a lot of 3rd party libraries.

The proof is in the pudding. here are some of my tracks mastered with N4 and 3rd party libraries:

Nebula is definitely worth it in my opinion. Especially if you like a "less is more" kind of approach. It lends itself very well to this kind of work environment as you can't have many things going on at once.

3rd party library support is also great. I highly recommend checking out ALL demo programs available at http://www.alessandroboschi.eu/html/ale ... ograms.htm

Greetings, It has been a good many years bmanic, Hope that you and your's are doing well/life is treating you well :)

I've been gradually converted to the darkside of Nebula, My "in" was a free CM magware version, Then the Acqua plugins, Grabbed the free one's which are awesome to get a bit of an idea/taste of what the commercial Acqua plugins are like. That is what I went on to next and Nebula was simply a matter of time by that point. There are many quality library creators, I honestly don't think that anything else can do the "mojo" top quality analogue saturation, transformer/tape/passive vs active circuit, "that" sort of noise that is impossible to describe and one only knows it when they are familiar with it, Wish I we're able to word such better.

I don't like to use buzz words but Acustica's stuff does deliver the qualities all those buzzword/subjective terms that get thrown around are supposed to encompass. It did take me a while to get used to it (Nebula) but once I did, It is really a lot like working with a great piece of outboard as if it had somehow magically digitized itself, You have to properly gain stage to get optimal results which simply attests to how accurate the sampling engine is and also the level of time the 3rd party gear sampling people put in to genuinely offer say a 1073 pre-amp with its flavour/colour and a 512 pre-amp with its flavour/colour. Heck they even do the line in's and DI/High Impedance inputs if the unit features it, To get so close for the money it costs is really quite mind blowing every time I start thinking about it, Just doing some simple mathematics...

All the best bmanic and all the best to all as always, I've missed people from here whilst absent, Cheers :tu:

Sorry for the slight necro, currently looking into Nebula4 (free version for now).

I remember for Nebula3 there also was a small but nice 'factory library' available which covered all the basics (a comp, a chorus etc.) to check out. (I don't mean demos of commercial libraries.)
Is there something similar for Nebula4 free ?
On the Acustica site I could only find the N4 free installer so far.
