My recording software (Steinberg - Sequel 3) does not support anything else but VST3 which is kind of odd since Steinberg developed VST.

Well it's the only set of (some) free plugins that includes VST3 versions and several variations on saturators and distortion I know of.

Not a tube screamer but a Boss SD1 emu. Prolly be the closest you're gonna get for free.

Maybe Steinberg didn't expect users of Sequel to actually be knowledgeable enough to want to add to their fx arsenal? Not having to code for VST2 may keep costs down?Ivan_C wrote:I didn't know that some hosts are VST3 only
