Just wanted to update and be fair, scuzzphut6 is now working fine in Orion Platinum 3.51. Don't know if it was the update to Orion (I had been using 3.0), or if it was scuzzphut's fault at all!?? But anyway, it seems happy now, and that's good cause this is a cool plug.

Heh, it is fun to see folks try to figure out how to categorize our effects... Looks pretty good to me, although I see that Transverb got added as a reverb and, despite its admittedly deceptive name, it is not a reverb in any way, more it's a combination of delay, pitch-shifting, and feedback. I sure don't know about BO, but I guess maybe delay is kind of accurate. I would also add of ours Skidder in the gate section, Polarizer in the distortion section, RMS Buddy in visual aid, Monomaker in the Stereo section. And in the Equalizer section, our plugin is called EQ Sync (just for your info).whyterabbyt wrote:Okay:
dfx Buffer Override - delay? mangling?
dfx Geomoter - mangling
dfx Rez Synth - filter?
dfx Scrubby - pitch effects?
dfx Transverb -delay?

Thanks for the info - keep it coming!!!
Again, feel free to supply links (in all honesty, I just don't have the time to hunt them all down), suggestions, corrections, etc. I'm thinking about putting this up on my website as a more comprehensive list, perhaps with feedback/banks/whatever.
BTW, I know there are several sites already that do a marvellous job in this area, but I find that they are generally outdated, and there's usually very little explanation concerning the plugs. In any case, I cannot see how this thread would hurt anybody...

We've got a couple of VST effects at ndc Plugs :
Rhythmic Metalisation Delay
Distortionator Mk2
Inverter (spatialisation-type-thing? - the same as the 'invert' function on some of Toby Bear's effects)
Thanks,
Niall.

I used to like Scuzzphut until last night, when I finally got Chainer to work . . . I ran my vocals through it, and now, I daresay, I LOVE it!

- Lots of plugins here, all effects, all basic but effective. The Abyss reverb especially has some massive decay to it.

Could you enlarge (widen) the GUI of this filter a bit? In Orion Platinum, it's so narrow that the host's MIDI Options at the top of the window don't fit onto the screen, consequently I cannot set it to MIDI receive at all...
BTW, update done!

Free virtual effects and instruments are the Universes' way of saying, "Thank you for not using warez!"
BTW, I am really curious as to how well the Fruity effects stack up against some of the ones y'all listed. I know they're not technically "free," but I was using a few of them in Chainer the other night and wanted some opinions . . .
Layyyter . . .
