You could try the excellent Floorfish -fishfillet package- from
http://www.digitalfishphones.com. Press the listen knob and then rotate the detect freq. That's the closest to a wah I can find.

I was looking over the spectral analysis tool and saw the German bs_spectrum, but its Mac only. Any of these free VST plugs could be Windows, Mac, BeOS, Linux, etc, so lets label it.

Everyone is making free sound mangling tools, but how about a free spectral analysis tool (ala Waves) so you can see what you are doing, especially on the end of your master chain?

There must be some SynthEdit masters sitting around doing nothing (except reading KvR forums)...

Wah pedals are low pass filters with high feedback ('Q')
try to find a good flexible filter with 'analogue' written near it and play around

Hardy, that BS-Spectrum is PC as well. Not the best, but free.
