Difference between legato, slide and pornamento

Unfortunately you'll have to check the manual for their definition of these terms. These same terms are widely used to refer to radically different behavior.

It has come to the point where they are just as ambiguous as "warm". What on earth does that mean? In fact it doesn't mean anything objective at all in most cases unless you're using tubes. In which case it literally means the tubes are warm and says nothing at all about the sound.

Generally "legato" is used to describe a mode where glide between notes happens only if the notes are played legato, that is the next note is activated before other notes are released. "Fingered" is also used to describe this.

As for slide and portamento, I can't even speculate. Check the manual.
