Hi guys.
How is this cinematic sound is done? I mean, it's just strings and few stuff more, but it has that touch that make it sound cinematic (not dry or set for a rock band, for example) and I can't figure out what is the secret of that production. Somekind of special eq or reverb? Is this made on the mixing or the mastering? I've been trying with long decay times of reverb but it isn't the same.

I've got some stuff to make hybrid/orchestral music like Damage or Evolve from Heaviocity, but I don't know hot to make it sound "cinematic", with few instruments that actually make the entire song sound deep and powerful. Another example:

Thanks in advance

It's not just one strings or one sound. There is a lot going on here, altho it might not seem like it.
Just adding some reverb or some EQ-ing is definitely not going to do the trick.
You have to gather all sorts of sounds and EQ and put reverb and other effects on them separately.
Just start out with some peaceful strings and make a composition with them, and then start adding some nice other sounds like, don't be affraid of using distorted sounds or sounds that no ones knows, that's essentially what cinematic sounddesign is! Maybe some interesting background noises aswell.
Try to be subtle, and don't put in too much sounds for the sake of it having to feel full and powerful, sometimes less is more.
Go on and experiment with it.
