Why does Calvin Harris have "a lot of bounces" on his bass chain?

In Twitter Calvin Harris stated that he has "real bass is ozone limiter Waves R bass and a bit of distortion and a lot of bounces" on his bass chain. I wonder why he has a lot of bounces if he probably has all the CPU power he needs. Thanks in advance.

Ozone Limiter can be taxing on certain settings, but I don't see why he'd need to do multiple bounces of a bass track.

Probably he means - making several versions of his bass with different distortion, eq and compression settings and then choosing the best sounding ?

Wait, he's on Logic, latent plugins automation issue.
He likes them over-cooked and perfectly sampled.MogwaiBoy wrote:Ozone Limiter can be taxing on certain settings, but I don't see why he'd need to do multiple bounces of a bass track.
This entire forum is wading through predictions, opinions, barely formed thoughts, drama, and whining. If you don't enjoy that, why are you here? ShawnG
