It is raw, powerful, dynamic and: different. This Grand Piano sample library is taken from an instrument that is used live on stage. If you are looking for something natural and authentic, this is the right one. Like the original instrument it is a pleasure and a challenge as well to find out it's unique timbre character and how to play it. It is even a bit imperfect.
The instrument is from Schimmel, a wellknow german piano manufacturer. It provides a fierce bass, a sophisticated middle range and a strong and nicely detailed upper range. I recorded it with a distance mic positioning (90° stereo angle) to get a sound impression the audience of a live concert is familiar with.
Piano, mezzoforte, fortissimo - the dynamic range is well-ordered in several provided Presets and can be even adjusted for personal purposes. It works with weighted keyboard action as well as semi-weighted. An extra Staccato sound is provided too.
