That's not true and it was only a rumor. There is some interview with CEO of Propellerheads and he said it's not the case. Search some Reason RE interview it's all there.

nope,
PH said no dsp accelerator support for RE technology, so no UAD for the moment
anyway who can support a 1300 € underpowered over expensive DSP dongle just to run plugin nowaday ?
The futur, is native and /or cheaper prices, UA just live in the past with old business model, elistist prices and the fear of all the famous company wich are mainly interested in protecting their brand than creating the futur.
unless they decide to go native or decide to stop to milk the cow with their dongle, I just don't care anymore about what UA can do, their plugins are good it's true but nothing that can justify the extra cost due to the dongle (wich is only here to please the UA's partners)
Softube is on the boat anyway, if you want emu they will do it (trident eq is already on the list, let' see what they will charge us for a softube RE plugin)

Props have announced public beta testing!
Public beta testing for Reason 6.5 and Reason Essentials 1.5
They also have some info on their own upcoming Rack Extensions. Gotto say that those audio demos of the Radical Piano are quite nice. Physical modelling!

I wish they would get UAD on board (and Sonic Core). This would mean I could use my largest hardware investments in Reason, which would negate almost all of the need for VST access.
Of course, I'd also like Spectrasonics, AAS and Native Instruments to get in there as well. It would be quite a cool fit for Vaz Modular as well
