+1 ;-)
In particular, it probably offers the best MIDI editing of any DAW.
Yes, and the developer is very responsive. Very cool DAW, was a great find for me. Great MIDI editing, score editor, video support. Moreover, I like it's approach to arrangement (with sections), it helped me to start working in more logical way. GUI and routing is a bit complicated, but there's a manual and the developer kindly helps via e-mail.

Did you try the more recent versions of MuLab, i.e. MuLab 4? What's your opinion on it? Interested in testing MuLab 5?

Hi, Jo!
I never even switched to v3. Became too pricey for me. :hihi:

I wouldn't mind giving v5 a spin.

Were I in better financial straits, the price for MU.LAB certainly isn't unreasonable by any stretch. Perhaps in the future I can pop for 5 after it's available. I still have v2.6.something on my home machine. :D

You create differently using it.
Completely agree. I don't use it all that often but it's great as a change of pace and a way of coming up with ideas that I otherwise wouldn't have come across.

Was SAW Studio (http://www.sawstudio.com/products_sawstudio.htm) from RML Labs mentioned yet?

I'm using SAC with great success. Kudos to Mr. Bob Lentini

PS: If you already know your way around in MuLab and you're an experienced beta tester and can handle+report the rough edges in a test version, email me ;)
Any chance of a Linux version?

Post

This has been discussed recently.

Conclusion: Not on the very short term. Lets first take the MuLab 5 step, then once M5 is released, we can talk about which next steps are most wanted.

Interesting...

The number of audio & music applications which are Win/Lin/Mac is actually pretty small*. So releasing a Linux version of MuTools might well tempt a few more Windows or Apple users to try life in The Land of the Penguin...

*Well OK, there's a few. Off the top of my head: Traverso, Frinika, AudioChain, Audacity, Ocenaudio, SoX, Radium, Renoise, protrekkr, Schism Tracker, Pd, ChucK, Csound, Nyquist, SuperCollider, ZynAddSubFX, Hydrogen, LinuxSampler...But notice how many are in beta. Or are serious strokey-beard things (for serious beard-strokers). Or both.
