Legree has been doing the job for me.

No midi editing has reminded me why I fell in love with recording in the first place.
And this time round, I can afford the gear.

EDIT: My bad, i made an error, everything is working fine :) (had a demo copy in a "test" folder)

Overtone products goes back to demo mode in Mixbus. This doesn't happen in Reaper, Live, Maschine

The updates on Mixbus v2.x have slowed as we are heavy in development on v3, which will bring many improvements including:

- MIDI on all OS versions (Mac, Windows and Linux)
- Virtual instrument support
- 64-bit compatibility
- Expanded controller support
- Multi-core support

The new GUI also improves the workflow a bit (I am running a beta of v3 here at the office, and on my studio computer at home). We will release more information closer to launch.

Hey Tim,

Thanks for popping in. I hope you see this but for what it's worth I just recently bought Harrison Mixbus last week for $39.99. I'm looking forward to V3 with the midi/multicore/interface & gui enhancements.

Anyways, I wanted you to know that probably one of the biggest motivations for me buying the product was the tutorials. Coming from a background of someone that never started out with real analog consoles, it is a breath of fresh air to have someone properly explain the ins/outs of a console and how they relate to a DAW. With that said, I picked up HMB to help me follow along and learn a few things in the process.

You (Tim) really do an amazing job (maybe the best I've seen) at explaining mixing concepts that can be otherwise confusing. The tutorials are concise but detailed enough, well-organized, and properly explained (unlike a lot of the amateur tutorials). Most tutorials either just show you what they are doing (and not why) or go off on tangents that are hard to follow. But not so with you guys!

It's obvious that you guys at Harrison have a profound understanding of the mixing universe and it's nice that you can share those insights with the new generation that never had the chance to cut their teeth on a real console. Anyways, you got me plugged in. Please keep doing what you are doing. Looking forward to seeing what's next.

New Harrison user,

AC

THIS would be great to see and, especially, experience, but, alas, I've moved on. I so wish that mixer 'page' of MixBus were simple a plugin that could be used in a real DAW. The whole concept -- using that beast Ardour for the basis of this mess -- was a very bad choice.

Yes, the warmth of a real console and its strips are very nice in a DAW, and this is MixBus's main (or only) strength, but It just was not worth the bugs and trouble for me. I can get that type of sound so many other ways and with so many other, better-working plugins and without all the hassles. A new bug every minute with MixBus (Ardour).
