I'm having a problem with ableton on my Lenovo i5 2,4ghz, 4gb ram.
I've installed live 9 and after scanning al my vst plugins the cpu usage jumped to 10% without playing anything, or even opening any vsts or audio files. Just opening a new blank project automaticly puts it at 10%. Is this possible? Can i somehow find out which plugin is causing this?
I've also had problems after completely formatting my computer with cpu jumping to 400% so I had to turn off cpu and back on to reset it. It happend with the newest update of live 9.1.2. It never happend on 9.1 or earlier.
Thanks!

Ableton GUI, background processes and silent audio chain also use up CPU and it's perfectly normal.Just opening a new blank project automaticly puts it at 10%. Is this possible?
That's certainly not normal. Still, I see no way how formatting or not formatting the disk could influence Ableton CPU usage. You may need to contact technical support.also had problems after completely formatting my computer with cpu jumping to 400%
