What's new
  • Now supports 24 processing threads on 12-core Mac Pro models.
  • The current volume, pan, and send values for all selected tracks can now be inserted at the playhead position.
  • Enabling Low Latency Mode no longer creates sync issues for Drummer, Ultrabeat, Native Instruments Machine and other plug-ins with integrated step sequencers.
  • Automation can now be copied and pasted to any location using the Marquee tool.
  • Adds an option for MIDI volume and pan data to control the instrument plug-in instead of the channel strip.
  • Resolves several snap and alignment guide issues.
  • Various fixes that improve XML import and export with Final Cut Pro X.
  • Contains multiple enhancements to Accessibility.
Logic Pro X 10.0.7 can be downloaded from the Mac App Store for $199.99.

Gonna give it a try now :)

Another quite impressive update after 10.0.5.

I am looking for a new DAW for my studio, as studio one just doesn't cut it for the other ppl working there, though I'm actually quite happy with it. The choice has been between PT11 and Logic Pro X. They've really impressed with their frequency of updates and also the comprehensive updates that 0.5 and 0.7 are. So I think it's now time to visit the App Store. Maybe it can also replace cubase for my home daw.

Automation copy with Marquee is brilliant!

I'm incredibly grateful for their MIDI volume and pan option!

Yes, great update.

I love the Shift+Option and dragging the velocity slider in the inspector to set all selected notes to the same velocity. Also, love the new "create 1 or 2 automation points at playhead" feature, made this available through key commands right away.

Very impressive and in general I feel it's a bit snappier too now!

Creating Automation Control Points (Volume, Pan, Sends) on all Tracks at the current Playhead Position with a single command. As close as it gets to AutomationSnapshot.
On top of that, you can have 1 or 2 Control Points created.

Thanks for that.

Now where is the updated Color Palette????

just a brilliant Daw.. simply brilliant.

I haven't tried the new update yet.
I hope the "it feels snappier" remarks are grounded.

Hmm.. this does look promising on my Macbook Air. I've been doing some brisk and wild moving and copying of regions and I haven't had experienced any slow behaviour. Selecting and deselecting seems faster now.

Can't wait to test this on my trusty old Core 2 Duo MBP.

Has anyone else experienced any improvement in UI 'snappiness '?

Yes the GUI generally seems snappier, but I haven't tested with a busy project.

FWIW I checked out a 2013 Mac Pro at the Apple Store recently, the UI felt like liquid under control of the mouse. With the 10.0.7 update, the UI has a similar feel on older Macs (2009 desktop, 2011 laptop).

That sounds promising for my older MBP :)

:o :o now THAT'S an update !! should be printed out on paper, screwed up into some crude semblance of a ball and shoved deep up the behinds of all those who whined about how "apple only cares about phones, and not musicians :D

Jeez, those release notes read like the bible...
