Hi,
I recently bought Cubase 8 and now I'm trying to organize my files in MediaBay.
My question is :
If I create attributes and values for .midi and audio files, where does those information are stored?
I understand that for Cubase's files (track, vst, etc presets) the information follow the files but for .midi and .wav ...???
I just try to figure out what will happen if eventually I have to change or reformat my computer.
Thanx

I'm pretty sure, and others will verify or not, that all of that is stored in a database file. I think Cubase uses SQL or something for Media Bay, not sure where that file is or what it's named.

It looks like MediaBay data is stored in C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Roaming\Steinberg\Cubase 8\mediabay3.db.
Just back up everything in ...\Roaming\Steinberg, and restore some or all of those files as needed.

Thanx for the replies.
I finally found that madiabay3.db file on my mac and I'm not sure that would be easy to transfert that to another system ....I don't really know how it point to the wav/midi files...
