RE: Replika: I just checked it out over here (win 8.1 64-bit), and it works fine. Kicked it around quite a bit, even opened up four of them to various presets. All good. I should also point out that I never had the dreaded Replika issue to begin with though, so YMMV.

Still need to update Max, but I'm not in a hurry. I've never had stability with M4L. Weird how these issues work.

Thank you. I've written to WaveMachine Labs.

If anybody else is looking for the Ableton Live archive of older versions, look here:

OK. I've written to SONiVOX as well (about Wobble v1). Not sure if any of their older VSTi are working with Live 9.2. No doubt everything will get weeded out in time.

UPDATE (by me) :)

The SONiVOX DVi range seems to be crashing Live 9.2 as well.

One bit of good news. The latest version of SONiVOX TimewARP2600 is actually working.

I've downgraded Replika to v1.2.0 and it seems to work fine now.

Fortunately i kept the installer, the ISO in my NI account is for 1.2.2 which is where the problem apparently lies.

Got a reply from WaveMachine Labs
Our developer is looking into this. I will get back to you ASAP.
Thank you for your patience.

Installed last night - my machine kept kicking out the install over the name "LIVE 9 standard", so I uninstalled the two previous versions 9.1.6 and 9.1.8 that were on there, then 9.2 installed flawlessly.
Scanning my VST folder took forever (natch) and only one got kicked out - Melodyne. Don't use it very often but - should I contact Ableton or Melodyne for a fix/patch ?
All other plugs look fine, my custom folder, my LIVE8 folder, samples folder destination. I didn't have time to test any older projects for compatibility but guessing that they'll work

I'd say, contact Celemony. I think Ableton have stated their position and ain't gonna budge.

UPDATE:

Got the expected reply from Ableton myself this morning.
Hey there,

Thanks for contacting Ableton Support and sorry to hear you're encountering issues with Live.

It sounds like these plug-ins need to be updated so that they will run with Live 9.2.

Please check out this article for more information:

Should you continue to have issues after updating these, then please send us a crash report so we can look further into this for you:

It might not be one of those obvious features but having PDC really improves the workflow. For a start, it's loads better not having to deal with my beats sounding increasingly lazy the more i process them, no more messing around with track delays just to line things up again. I can't believe i've put up without it for so long.

note from Celemony support this AM :
"are you using the 32 bit version of Live or the 64 bit? If you are using the 32 bit version, please try to use the 64 bit one.

Ableton changed the framework for VST and AU plugins, which might lead to such an rear you are describing:
https://www.ableton.com/de/help/article ... ements-92/

As long as there is no fix for the problem, you can furthermore install an earlier version of Live in parallel, like described here:
https://www.ableton.com/de/help/article ... ading-live"

As I'm perfectly happy using 32bit LIVE, not sure of the next step here . . . it's not like I use Melodyne a lot . . .

I'm using (or should I say, was using) the 32bit version. I wrote to Celemony myself and am awaiting a reply. I wonder do they just want you to test the 64bit version, or are they saying that they're not bothering to fix the 32bit version?

Sets saved in a later version will not open in an earlier version of Live. Their suggestion (if I understand it) is terrible.

Got a reply from Lexicon. My Reverbs are working fine but my Lexicon Chorus is OOO (out of order).
Version 1.2.6 is the latest. We’ve been working on a new update which should be released fairly soon, but I don’t have any other news on that at the moment. You may want to report the crash to Ableton.

Aloy - the way I read it, Celemony is saying that Ableton changed how VST are handled(in some manner) with the 9.2 release. If I had to guess; I'd say it's prolly related to the PDC adjustments. They are not saying that the 64bit Melodyne WILL work - just try that within the 64bit frame

Like I said, that won't happen here as every single other plug that I use works just fine

Maybe at some point down the road, Celemony will release a patch . . .
