Hi guys,
Is anybody aware of any simple waveform editor that lets you design custom arbitrary signal waveforms? All applications I find online are from high end function generator manufacturers...I imagine some app where you draw the waveform and edit the curves then allows you to play back the waveform or export it to a .wav
example http://practicingelectronics.com/articl ... rticle.php

What you mean in the strict sense of the word isn't a "waveform", it's a "wavetable". There is a difference between a single cicle wavetable and a multisegment wavetable. But basically it's wavetable. So google for "wavetable designer" or "wavetable editor".

BTW you can download Audacity here:
https://www.fosshub.com/Audacity.html/a ... -2.1.3.exe
And here is a small tutorial on how to create a single waveform with Audacity:
http://groovesizer.com/make-your-own-si ... waveforms/
There is also the "Waldorf Blofeld Wavetable Editor" (PC only and not from Waldorf) that allows you to create Wavetables and modify or draw single waveforms per hand.
As the program allows to export the wavetable as a wav file it is also possible to extract single waves from it.
You can find it here:

In the strict sense of the OPs request he did not allude to wanting a Wavetable editor, he's asking for a waveform generator.lobanov wrote:What you mean in the strict sense of the word isn't a "waveform", it's a "wavetable". Amazon: why not use an alternative
