Has everyone who signed up been able to get into the Live 10 public beta or have you been placed on the waiting list?

I got accepted after 2h of getting the e-mail. This might be different now, because it seems Ableton's servers can't cope with the demand - I had to reset my d/l few times already, because it goes at 20-40kb/s, which transaltes to 1-2 days for a 1.4Gb file... I hope I'll be able to d/l it over the weekend :)

I’m in but you need a existing Live 9 license to be able to download the 10 beta.

anyone knows if it works with a Live 9 Lite license? I’m about to get it through the triqtraq app.

afaik it does not. I jumped on Live 10 beta by registering my self on their codecenter and i got Live 10 codes but i can't register it in my account. It says that there is no product to which this (live 10) serial can be connected.

My guess is that only Live 9 suite owners can betatest Live 10.

I even tried and registered Live 9 suite trial in my account but still i can't use Live 10 beta not even as trial period.

So my guess is that only Live 9 Suite can register and try Live 10 beta but if i am wrong i will be more then happy to know otherwise. Can someone share other tips on how to jump on Live 10 beta and betatest try it?

FWIW, @kmonkey, I didn't get access to the Beta either... yet, I suppose. Don't want to write 'hope' here because it's them who want to sell Live10, not me. :phones:

You will need a Live 9 Standard or Live 9 Suite license in order to activate your Live 10 Beta serial. Please go to the Ableton User Account page and "Register new product". After entering the serial there you should be able to authorize the Live 10 Beta.
my actual downloading speed is 3MB/s

that makes no sense really, it's a beta program the more users to test it and report bugs the better.

well, my 5 bucks to get Live 9 Lite were well saved now

Other people may also want to test it before buying the upgrade (speaking of myself). If it's a problem ... well, then it's their problem.

But I like the subliminal interior architect twist they obviously fell in love with when creating their latest marketing campaigns. Ableton seems to sell emotion nowadays. Comes across like the ZEIT-sequel "Freunde von Freunden" where the core idea can't be misunderstood...

Not really. For beta testers at this stage you want users, who are already pretty fluent with the program and can check if things they normally do (and new ones just introduced) still work as expected. New users will hit against the wall of their expectations or habits from other DAWs, reporting those as bugs.

While they already try to sell it at the same time... c'mon, it does not make sense (though it's a pretty good point otherwise).

I've been using it since yesterday, downloading it was a bit of a challenge.
Tips: use a downloader, if its browser based, close the beta account page
as it will boot you from inactivity which can screw up the download.

Or you can just wait for the server load to ease up.

Well, maybe limiting the access to current users is a plot to sweeten the bitter taste of upgrade price? I mean I jumped on the pre-order the minute it went up, but later in the evening thinking about it it dawned on me that it's pretty expensive for what it is... Still, couldn't resist a new shiny toy :D

For 199 crackers they ask for the upgrade from 'suite' to 'suite' one should not be forced to dl their holy code from a forum hidden deep down somewhere in the fancy net.

Huh, I'm starting a rant ... *yoga recommendation*
