For those of you who have waited for the iBooks version, my new book "Logic Pro X - What's New in 10.4" is now also available on Apple's iBooks Store as interactive multi-touch iBook (with a 600 items interactive glossary).
If you prefer the "paper-touch" version, the printed book is available on Amazon, after two weeks still #1 New Release in the Digital Audio Production category (right now on sale, 37% off)
All the links are available at

Be aware, there is a lot of misleading and plain wrong information on the internet about this Logic 10.4 update. So make sure you get all the right information from the most detailed and comprehensive source for this new Logic 10.4 update (on 230 pages!)

Hi Edgar,
I looked through your book regarding the Pultec EQ, but could'nt find any explanation on how/why you can simultaneously increase and attenuate at chosen frequencies. Could you please explain that for me a bit?
Thanks.

Look at page 21, I indicate the frequency type, which one is a "Peak" (increase) and which one is a Dip (decrease). You can see at the corresponding frequency control that their frequency bands overlap, so you can set the value accordingly.Bombadil wrote:Hi Edgar,

Thanks. I know Edgar was speaking English, but I only have a rudimentary understanding of these concepts.el-bo (formerly ebow) wrote:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ilPmmhFqNCcBombadil wrote:Hi Edgar,

He didn't really answer your question; Certainly not as to the "why"Bombadil wrote:Thanks. I know Edgar was speaking English, but I only have a rudimentary understanding of these concepts.el-bo (formerly ebow) wrote:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ilPmmhFqNCcBombadil wrote:Hi Edgar,
