using ableton 7
when i play a clip i want for it to finish playing even if i select another clip.
right now i play a clip, when i select another clip it interrupts the flow unless i launch it exactly at the right time. its very frustrating.

is this possible to fix?

i did, i wasnt able to figure it out.

i put the clip in all the modes and it still is doing the same thing.

it is the concept established by Ableton live, you can't play simultaneously two clips in the same channel.
you need to place same in two different channel

I am not 100% sure if i understand question but i think it might be to do with 'Global Launch Quantise' that the arrow is pointing to on this image:

You may also wabt to check the manual for 'Follow on actions'.
there's a tonne of stuff you can do with these features.

There is also the Legato option for clips... which might be what is happening for the OP?

Clip plays imediatly, wont wait to finish
