Tip of the day:
You can now purchase Tablet 2 MIDI in the LiveLab.dk shop.
Lots of changes recently - get it while it's hot (and cheap at a friendly introduction price).
Read about the new stuff here.

Does your Wacom tablet support now include the ability to use the Wacom Grafire4 mouse (as well as the pen) instead of needing a seperate mouse (something which I am NOT interested in doing for one program only). I had previously mentioned to you that a hot key 'breakout' might be useful.

Cheers
Bump!
ok, ok your bump has been heard :-) You can use the spacebar to toggle tablet on / off, and that will affect both pen and mouse. So far I have found no way of freeing the mouse without freeing the pen. I won't rule it out completely though, I'll ask wacom how to do it - they seem to be good in the support department :-)

I know this is a bit out of this, but:
what about using a Pocket PC for This?
It has a big touchscreen with a good display behind, It's nice and small, could operate using Bluetooth, IrDa or Wlan.

yeah, I thought of this too. My pda is an old palm100, so no nice big screen and definately no Wlan. But when I get a new one, I'll cook something up, count on that :-)
Actually, I find it hard to beleive this is not already possible. But then again, I felt the same way about using a touchpad as a midi device.

That's what bumps are for. :-)

I looked at the brief set of docs but didn't see any mention of the spacebar toggle. That seems to do the job, don't know why anything more is needed. Is it? :?

well, if that works for you it's fine, I just had an idea it might be possible to do this automatically when the mouse entered / left the tablet surface.

Ah, ok. Sure, that's useful. Please do.

BTW-are there any templates for T2M to illustrate some possible uses? I thought I saw some on your site a while ago, but can't see any now? Hmmm...

Post

there will be. I just received Proems template for fruity loops - he's doing one for Ableton Live too :-) The templates include default project files for those hosts. I'm planning on a generic Energy XT template too.
There'll be a user library section on the website too so we can all share our setups.

exT would be great. I also own T2, Podium, and SX2.2. The library is a good idea so people thinking of buying can get a better idea when road testing.

Hi,

The 0.92 version shows a very slow refresh rate, both for sending messages and updating graphics, when two objects are on top of each other.

There was no problem for me with old beta versions.

As an example : http://mediasonie.free.fr/temp/zones1.t2m

do you remember what beta version you used last? I you still have the exe could you please send it to me? One thing I added was transparency on the controllers - on some systems this will be slow. I'll add a switch to disable that feature.

I also raised the refresh rate, this could give high cpu usage and this could lead to very slow refresh rates if the CPU is nearing 100%. Could that be the problem?

Sorry, I have replaced the beta with the new version :(
I suppose that it was 0.7x because I was away during two weeks...
So I have no proove of the difference, but I remember well to have try to play with pads and freehand objects that overlap and there was no color trails like now.

The color trails are drawn during movements and only erase when the movement stop or the pen goes out of the overlapping area. The MIDI values are sent at this time and no one are sent during the movement.

Can you reproduce this ?
Or perhaps is it due to my config ?

I don't know... But my P4 HT 3,2 GHz goes nearly to 100 % when I play on two Pads at once, which is really too much !!!

Has to be the transparency then. I'll add a switch to disable it. It's very different how graphics cards handle that stuff.
