Well, I reckon v145 is good to go!. :tu:

All these are fixed in rc3:
BR 095 - Learnt MIDI channel is 1 too low
BR 094 - rc2 misbehaves in Tracktion
BR 093 - MIDI Controller config issues
BR 091 - Loop unhighlighted after [save]
BR 053 - non-working [Play] button, when an arrangement has been selected in Play Slices / Use Arr

I'll keep an eye open for the v150 beta thread ;)

[LiveSlice v145rc3]

BR1/ Changing banks, selects another arrangement
1- Load LS
2- Select arrangement C1
3- Load a loop and lock to loop
4- LMB on LS's "Play" button
5- Start the host's sequencer
6- Select another bank (I.E. bank 2)
:?: C1 arrangement stops to play and C2 gets selected

BR2/ "File browser" and Missing file message box
Sometimes, while browsing quickly in LS's File browser, I had a window which popped up and asked for a missing file and then renamed the selected loop :-o I managed after nearly one hour of test to reproduce it
1- Load LS
2- Load a loop in empty slot 1
3- In the file browser, browse to "C:" for example
4- Drag and drop the WINDOWS folder displayed in LS's "File browser", on the "C:" displayed at the top of LS's "File browser"
:?: A window pops up with message "Missing file : C: […]" and the loop in slot 1 gets renamed to C:

BR3/ Clearing Arrangements and "Play" button
1- Load LS
2- Start the host's sequencer
3- Load a loop and lock to loop
4- LMB LS's "Play" button
5- Clear all arrangements (LMB clear > Arrangements)
:?: The "Play" button is still highlighted, however if you "Lock to loop" again, the arrangement isn't being played (and doesn't have the red box...)

[LiveSlicev145rc3]

I have a question (may be it's a BR, but I'm not sure... you'll tell me  )
If I record a loop several times with LiveSlice's recording function, I don't understand why the recorded loop "looks" different each time I re-record it :?

Let me explain a little more with an example:
1- Load LS number 1 in eXT
2- Load LS number 2 in eXT, with LS1's output connected to LS's input (LS1->LS2)
3- Activate "Trigger with host" in both LS
4- Start eXT sequencer
5- Load a 4-beat loop in LS1 and Lock to loop
6- In LS2, click on "rec", then "sync", then "start / stop"

So, you just recorded in LS2, the loop playing in LS1
:?: Look at the waveform of the just recorded loop in LS2, and repeat step 6 again (in order to re-record the LS1 loop in LS2): the waveform displayed in LS2's slicer seems to have changed, even though we have just recorded the same loop again (try several times in order to really see that the waveforms are different)

Can anyone please confirm here?

Thanks,
GilJ.

GilJ,

Re-recording looks Ok here.

"Here's one I prepared earlier":

- the top loop is the orignal one
- the lower ones are the recordings (sliced suitably).

God - release the things even with the bugs or we'll never get to REX2 import. :hihi:

Thank you very much DarkStar for the tests :)

I don't really know then, from where comes the problem :? I was able to reproduce it on 2 different computers... However, I cannot really manage to reproduce it each time :(

Have you tried recording the same loop in LS with the "effect" button activated?
Doing so, I think it's easier to see that each time the same loop gets recorded, it can look slightly different...

I also noticed a bug you reported that hasn't been fixed yet in LiveSlicev145rc3:
DarkStar wrote:BR 092 - waveforms remain in Slicer when loop is deleted
v145 rc1 - when I delete a loop from the loops section (by middle-click or Ctrl+right-click) the loop waveform graphics remain in the Slicer for that loop slot.
Caleb, no stress, I really believe that rc4 will be the last one for v1.45

Cheers,
GilJ.

GilJ,

Ok, I tried it with [Effect] clicked, and yes, as each recording replaces the previous one in the Slicer the waveform graphics change - but only very slightly. Nothing to worry me.

Can you post some screenshots of the problem you're getting?
