Please lemme at the OSX beta. Teasing with all these windows releases is too much

Believe me, I understand your frustration, but it just makes most sense to finish the new features on windows before osx - the beta team on windows know LiveSlice better than I do myself and some use it everyday.
Additionally, I'm still needing to implement some core functionality, like mousewheel and keyboard handling on osx. I'm posting this from my mac though, while working on the keyboard handler, so it won't be long, I promise.

fixed clipping on export
I'm still experiencing clipping audio on export and the sound produced is loud and distorted even at low volume. There is also a intermitted or choppy quality in the audio playback. I can confirm that the normalizing or level boost is working as even low volume samples were boosted significantly to the point where I could hear background hiss. From my assessment any samples imported into LS sound flawless, but in contrast the exported audio does not retain the same quality. I tried exporting while playing and not playing, same results. Loading the exported audio clips back into LS retains the same playback issues.

Beta 5 is out just in time for the weekend :-)

- added two options in settings to enable keyboard shortcuts in hosts that prevent keyboard input from plugins - works well in Reaper
- fixed exported audio quality issues and normalizing of single events
- fixed overlapping events not exported correctly
- added an option in settings to export audio using 24 bit resolution
- got rid of the badly integrated native text-editor widget used when -renaming files and replaced it with a homegrown one (it looks better and it's stable)
- using enter to load loops will use the next empty slot - CTRL+Enter will use the currently selected slot
- improved scrolling by page
- fixed scrolling when multiselecting using shift+arrowkeys
- fixed page down in file browser would also page down the arranger track. Now it depends on the focus (mouse clicks)

Hi,

[LiveSlice v148b5]

BR1/ No more able to replace events with LMB
Selecting a slice in the slicer with LMB, then clicking (LMB) on an event on a track, doesn't replace the event (it only works with drag and drop from slicer to track)

BR2/ The new renaming implementation doesn't 'steal' the keyboard from Ableton Live anymore when renaming
If you try to delete a letter in a loop's name using the backspace key, and LS is selected in the host, it will delete the LS instance!

Cheers,
GilJ.

Beta 6 fresh out of the oven: :)
  • Slicer: tempo and length calculations when loading multiple loops fixed
  • fixed a bug that affected loading of 24 bit .aiff files
  • fixed an issue with export filenames on windows xp
  • added an option to steal the keyboard focus from the host (works in Reaper)
  • fixed an issue with keyevents not reaching tracks with no events
  • added kayboard input to the osx version (almost ready for beta release)
  • likely some more bugs and buglets fixed that I forgot to write down
... aka RC1
DarkStar, ... Interesting, if true

yeah, but it seems I forgot about GilJ's bugreport, so the "No more able to replace events with LMB" bug is still present...

fixed that final bug, renamed the build 1.5RC1 and sent it out two minutes ago - I'm guessing this will be the final build before release - but please test and report any bugs, thanks.
