ok hello, I dont know if this is the right forum to be posting this in or what, but I got MAGIX MUSIC STUDIO and MAGIX MUSIC MAKER for Christmas last year and just started using it, I have installed a few VST plugins on it and found them very useful. however, there are only so many VST plugins, especially free ones, and its hard to get a unique sound from track to track. I'm now looking for a VST plugin that can get one sample and make a whole keyboard set out of it (forgive me for terminology-I've only been working for 2 days!). i thought that this was called a sampler, but I have tried shortcircuit and all you can do is map a certain sample to one note.

So insteand of just putting one sample onto one note, I would like to, in some way, add that 1 sample at the right key and then let the software map out the rest of the keyboard by altering the pitch up and down.(so that I could sample a sound from a song, and then with the keyboard set done, make a new tune out of it)

Does anyone know of a plugin that can do this/how to make shortcircuit do this/anyone willing to develop a VST plugin like this?

Sampler.

I use FL Studio's sampler but I'm sure there's one you'll like out of this list: http://bedroomproducersblog.com/2010/09 ... -samplers/

Just drag it out on the edges (cursor becomes a double-headed arrow).

(This is Shortcircuit 1)

Old trackers like Modplug do what you want by default, though that's another program altogether..

There are thousands of plugins out there, including free ones; KVR's database has more than 6000 entries for free VST plugins.

This link cant be made clickable, but cut and paste it into your browser:

FWIW, it'd sorta be up to you to get unique sounds out of them.
my other modular synth is a bugbrand
