Stand for larger (8") studio monitors?

I am trying to find a floor stand for my new HS8's (finally getting some studio monitors!), but having a hard time finding a stand that isn't crazy expensive that holds them. Most stands the platform seems to small for the larger monitors. Any recommendations? DIY worth it?

DIY is worth it. Cinderblocks make fantastic monitor stands. And you can use ratcheting tie-down straps to hold it together. Just use the tie-downs to fasten the cinderblocks in a vertical column, and set the monitors on top.
