Could you pls advise?

It seems difficult to find free midi files of latest songs. For example, if I google for Happy (Pharrell Williams), apparently there is only one free file available ( at free-midi.org).

Is there a specialist midi forum that one should join to find latest midis?

I found the supreme-network.com, which provides a subscription model for midi files. I was wondering if anyone has tried this site. Is it a scam?

Thank you

You won't find many free ones, as anything in the past 75 years or so is under copyright, and most pirate groups don't bother with midi (because they would have to make them themselves, by hand, unlike mp3s or software).

If you want to see if it is a scam send an email to the record company that a artist is signed to and ask if that site has legal permission.

Maybe you can try ultimate-guitar and download the free program tuxguitar to play the gp midis.

This is nonsense. Examine word copy-right again.
BTW, are you from USA by any chance?

Evberyone is free to write down midi file for the melody of any song.
Everyone is also free to remix, rework a track or make a new track inspired by original. There are plenty of rights for the people as well.

This. Not sure how "latest" these midis are, but if a song is very popular, many musicans will write the notes down and share them. There are lots of free midi sites.

^This is quite the opposite, about MIDI file itself or a piece of audio derived from existing MIDI. It does not say a word about MIDI derived from a song by third party.

Still, since writing down MIDI file from song requires some effort and may not be trivial (or ambiguous), it fulfills criteria of derivated work.

A midi file "rendering" an existing popular song is not that different from an artist doing a cover song. The composer of the music itself is protected by copyright, (s)he must receive credits and a share of the revenues. But also the person that took the trouble to transscript it to midi has rights.

There are many sites where you can download "legal" midi files in exchange of a small fee. Google might lead you to sites of questionable reputation. In the KVR Forum Rules however it is stated that "warez" is a no-go subject.
