AVG is suddenly detecting a 'false positive' in a well known Synthedit module. Apparently there was a recent AVG update that is triggering this. If you use AVG and get a popup when trying to load any Psychic Modulation plugins, or any Synthedit plugins that use the module 'CK_MOD_OSC' please note that this is NOT a virus. It's a false positive error on the part of AVG. I have contacted them regarding their mistake and I'm hoping it gets resolved shortly.
I also decided to run a scan with Virus Total, which scans the file on several databases, and AVG was the only one that came up with anything. Here's the results: https://www.virustotal.com/en/file/4c69 ... 363962647/
In the meantime, if you run into this problem, you can set this file as an exception within AVG. Here's how: http://www.avgthreatlabs.com/webthreats ... emovalfaq7
As I stated above, this issue should be corrected very soon. I've had to do this before with a different module in the past. Basically what they do is check the file I sent them, and when they realize it's not a virus they will update their database and the problem will disappear.

AVG responded quickly and is no longer detecting false positives on this module, so this case is now closed.

AVG seem really good about this kind of thing. I reported a false positive for the SNDAN32 exexutable and it was sorted the same day. Pretty damn good service I'd say, especially as the AV part is a freebie.
