  • *Overall sound improvemnts
    *New Pulse Width oscillator modes
*Added new switch for retriggering the oscillator phase on each note; produces a much more solid sound; excellent for outrun style basslines.
*New LFO & envelope targets: Filter attack/decay & pulse width
*Added invert switches to mod envelopes
*Sub Oscillator can now switch to square wave; produces a much fatter sound than sine

Hi there
Thanks for the upgrade :)
A note about 64 bit. It works fine when I
use jbridge in MuLab.

One question regarding the external audio.
I can hear the melt effect when I let a vst synth pass through
but I cannot hear it if I let an audio sample through. The delay effect
works fine on both
Is this normal?
Not that I mind. I was just wondering

Cheers
Sound C loud
Band C amp
Clicks and pops is all I get

Greetings from Australia.

I love the sound of the demos... are all the sounds from Phonec?
... besides the obvious percission, guitar strums (?)

I'm inspired by Boards Of Canada style electronica / ambient.
So I like the grainy and de-tuned character of the first audio demos.
How can I source the MIDI/DAW files of your demos?

Thanks,
Michael.

That's good to know!

I just tested it out on a field recording of city sounds (cars, construction, church bells), I couldn't really hear the effect until the bells kicked in. So it definitely works, it just might not be noticeable depending on the type of sound. What was the sample you used?

Ok, I just tried it on a speech sample, and it wasnt very noticable at all until I turned the 'jump' level all the way up. It's a hidden panel control that sends random, spikes in the pitch modulation. You may have to listen for a bit and wait for this setting to kick in, but when it does, it's very noticable.

I think what's happening is, since 'Melt' is a very subtle effect, you can hear it fine on sustained, stable pitched sounds like synth tones. But on sounds where the pitch is naturally unstable, like voices for example, it will need a more extreme setting.

Hmmm, you may have just given me an idea for a new FX plugin...

Hey Micheal glad you enjoyed them :)
The tracks 'Habitats' and 'Mirage' were both done by me, and yes they are all Phonec. The other tracks I'm not so sure about because they are not mine, but from what I understand they are mostly if not entirely done using Phonec.

Sorry I don't have midi files for any of the demo tracks.

I used it on a vocal sample so that's propably the reason.
Thanks for your answer. I just needed to know if I was doing
something "wrong".
So all I need to do is find the "right" samples or use a more
extreme setting.

Thanks again for great plugin's.
