Hi all,

before I pose my problem just wanted to say that everyone here appears to have their finger on the button and know what they are talking about! Excellent.

Just bought BFD and had some probs with cymbal samples being way too short (abruptly cut off!). With info from another post on here that has now been fixed by changing the max cache buffs to 64 (from 16).

I have now noticed though that I can only play a couple of bars of my track without interruption and then it is dogged by crackling/pops/clicks.

Also noticed while doing this the cpu usage (from windows task manager)is on 100%.

I've tried to make some sence out of the settings in the BFD Options - sorry but I'm a complete newbie to it and feel very lost!

I'm using:
BFD Ver 1.5.1 (no other plug-ins running at the mo)
Cubase SX 2.2.0
Laptop; P4 2.66 GHz, 1GB RAM, Hard Disk 55.88GB, Windows XP Pro

Bfd Settings (from options)

Interface options - everything off
Engine Options - max cache buff - 64
max voice - 64
RAM cache size - 16384
Stream buffer size - 16384
max layers - 128
cache memory - 247.76MB
Other Engine Options Off.

Hope someone can advise further on more suitable settings/what I may be doing wrong/what I've missed!!

Many thanks in advance.

Rob

Yo Rob,

You're on the MUTOOLS forum, think you should be on the FXpansion forum.

Just a quick guess though: maybe the voices are playing very low, so they play very long, and maybe they were triggered faster than they could decay..?

So you end up with a whole stack of voices, eating much cpu power.

Just a guess...

Cheers,

Jo
