Yes, I use the ndc midi plugins. You can also use the Sonic Assault MidiMod!1.1 and MidiSeq!2.0 plugins to automate VST parameters in a MUX.

Ah, I also absolutely love the MuX and MPA.
Also, if you don't mind Synthedit there are a bunch of excellent modular oriented plugins in these two packs:
Nicfit's plugs
Soma's plugs
Particularly, Soma's CC morph plugin is awesome and I use the Glider a lot (adds a customisable amount of smoothing between CC value changes -- great for changing guitar distortion send amounts based on signal volume, for example).
DuncanParsons' own MIDIcinal is a great audio>cc plugin.
