Hi,
i did some audio recordings with mulab and i only get 16 bit files. I searched around for the bit depth config but i didn't found it.
How to record 32 bit files?

Why would you want to record to 32 bits in the first place?Juan Mendoza wrote: How to record 32 bit files?
24 bits is certainly plenty enough for recording and mastering. I assume MUTOOLS is running at 32 bit float internally.

If it were easy, anybody could do it!

Short reply: As far as i know Mulab only records in 16 bit or 32 bit float, no 24 bit, and no need of IMO.Spitfire31 wrote:Why would you want to record to 32 bits in the first place?Juan Mendoza wrote: How to record 32 bit files?

Also when edditing a digital sound (i.e. a number) there's a big difference between these two numbers:
16 bit 1234567890123456
and
32 bit 12345678901234567890123456789012
There's no big audible difference between those two numbers, the differnce comes when you enter into calculation (i.e. when you add FX or process the sound)
But the main reason is that i like to have all my original recordings in 32 bits because you never know if you'd need to edit the audio later on, and 32 bit float is a loosless format.
