Ok, in another thread here on kvr it's already mentioned, so why not announce it on christmas
I am working on some serious and free expansions for all.
Focus will be, of course, the electronic type of music.
First device I am currently working on, is a clone of a famous VSTi:
Silencio
Here is a first screenshot, but I think, till the release, there will be some changes and perhaps Jo can give me some tips...
Thanks to Jo for his fantastic work...the new features for the GUI and the quality of the sound are absolutely outstanding...
Here are the first little audio demos...

UPDATE 1:

UPDATE 2: Next little demo:
http://soundcloud.com/trancit01/silencio-demo-2
Update 3:
http://soundcloud.com/trancit01/italo-80s
Soundcloud quality sucks a little...be sure the original sounds a lot better
I will post more demos of included patches as soon as they are ready...stay tuned

Here is a short try:
http://soundcloud.com/trancit01/ldfollow
But I cannot let them sound absolute identical... Sylenth1 behaves very special in certain situations (e.g. by adding very clicky sounds on the attack, Sylenth sounds very unique in the mid range, what makes it sounds often very harsh), which are very hard to emulate...
Btw, it is not my intention to make an exact copy of Sylenth (imho, which isn't possible too).
On the other hand, the internal modular engine of MuLab allows much more possibilities...and I like the sound of MuLabs engine better...it sounds very "rich", "full" and "round" (how to describe a sound )

Yes, impressive..
If Mulab comes up with a ghostnote feature for contrapunctal composing for 2 tracks?
There is also the issue for a midi recorder for some VSTi composing plugins
The catanya arpegiator plugin can than be easy used..and some more

Here is an horrible solution: copy the sequencer that you wish to ghost, open it and adjust those notes velocity to zero. Write your contrapuntal in it. It's OK for simple stuff. You can play with having the zero notes selected in order to distinguish or the other way around or move them an octave up or down.janamdo wrote:Yes, impressive..

When you finish just select the good ones by dragging the velocity lines, invert selection and delete.
This could work much better if the notes would change color according to velocity values or independent color from each other.

Everything I post here is nothing but MuLabs internal sources...no samples (except drums, which will be my next expansion)
With Mulabs own resources you can really forget about many Vsti's out there and it sounds simply fat
