I'm using Mulab v5.4.1 and I want to be able to synchronise multiple sequences via an external sequencer. Explanation:
I am using an external hardware sequencer (Arturia Beatstep) to drive an internal VST. The first sequence track is recorded without any issues.
Now I have changed the Arturia sequence and want to use it to record a second track with a different VST sound and have its clock externally triggered from the first track so that both tracks (sequences) are in sync. I've tried linking the VST event output to the Arturia using the MUX (after selecting midi output port 1 to the Arturia) but that doesn't seem to drive the beatstep's external sync. Thanks.

I'm not sure if this answers your question but note that MuLab does not support slave syncing to an external MIDI clock.

Yes it does answer my question which explains why I haven't been successful.
