Mixer Strip & Stereo Width

Sorry if it sounds noob, but i am a bit confused about the "Stereo Width" knob.(at the top right corner of the "Mixer Strip")

What is the default value of the "Stereo Width" knob?
In other words, what is the value for unprocessed audio signal?
50%? 100%?

BTW, IMHO it would be better to have gain level always shown.

100% width is total separation between left and right signal.
0% width is no separation at all = mono.
The in between values are crossfades of the extremes above.
