Postby djmikec; Fri Mar 30, 2018 9:07 am VSTs disabled

Hi guys, first time posting. Help please!

Can't get TAL Vocoder or MDA Talkbox to open in Mulab. It says "couldn't create VST instance," and the VSTs show up as disabled in the VST Plug-In Manager. (I definitely downloaded the versions for Mac).

I am successfully running Serato Sample and Beat Discovery VSTs in Mulab. Just can't run these vocoder ones.

My laptop:
mac OS Sierra
Version 10.12.6 (16G29)

MULAB: 7.3.9 64-bit

Help, please and thank you!

Maybe you are trying to load 32 bit versions ?.

Make sure the installers for the Vst's are 64 bit if you are running Mulab 64 bit.

Really appreciate you replying!

Not totally sure about the MDA item, but the TAL Vocoder says it should be 32/64 bit. So .... ? =(

If you have installed both 32 and 64 bit of TAL Vocoder make sure you load the right one.

Ah, makes sense. How do I make sure I'm using the right one? All I see is one TAL VST, and then when I view contents, I don't see two different versions for 32 and 64.

When you run the installer for TAL Vocoder it should give you a choice where to install the different versions on your hard disk.

Normally you should have a folder for 32 bit and another for 64 bit plugins. I only know Windows so maybe it is different on Mac ?.

Maybe someone with Mac experience can help you better.

Oh shit I got it! Thank you!

When in the VST Plug-In Manager, I had to navigate to

Library>Audio>Plug-Ins

Much appreciated!
