I've been trying to set up a polyphonic session with Silent Way in Logic.

I've got the voice controller in a software instrument, routed to a bus.

I've got three more Voice Controller software instruments set up with a sidechain input from that bus, and each is outputting to a stereo pair with CV/Gate outputs.

Each of these outputs is working properly, and even though I have set the master to a polyphony of 3 and each subsequent instrument to 1,2 and 3 respectively, I cannot get more than two voice polyphony, and even then it's only possible if one of the slaved "voice" channels is set to highest note priority and one is set to lowest note priority.

I am unclear about how to solve this issue, even though I followed everything in the manual

Does it matter if the master channel is set to "stereo" or "multi output"?

Do the six "output" channels of the master need to be assigned to CV and Gate?
