edit->I have deleted this link as it is against the rules,
and it was bad form to make this a standalone
Here I have the standalone,
doing away with hosts to start with.
The mono splitter is in there,
and I included a recorder-
if ne1 likes the sounds they are making.

Wowie, Nix. It works. I love the look of the GUI and the easy to use design as well. Be back in a while. Going to check it out some more.

Good!
I'll get Reaper today and see how I go.
I hope I haven't bent the contest rules too severely.
This standalone is not my submission,
I hope in the circumstance it's OK.
If you'd like a copy of the recorder as VST,
I will be releasing a fix for it within a week prolly,
so can use as VSTfx.
It's flawed, the version u can track down on the net current.

Heya,
I have an update for you->
http://www.sendspace.com/pro/dl/8d3yey
I changed the way the end of the grain works.
There is no envelope any more,
instead, it looks at the shifted audio and
picks a 0 crossing to chop on.
The buffer parameter sets how long before
the end to look for one. So a high buffer will
certainly not click, and low ones have more fidelity.
Grain sets grain length.
Cheers!
