The idea was proposed but I wondered why nobody created the thread yet, so I did. I guess the rule is in the thread's title: use ONLY instruments and tools from the DC16. I don't have a track at the moment, but I know one track that qualifies already, whyterabbyt's, found in this thread: viewtopic.php?f=91&t=474972

This is just an impro noodelsoup, but at least I had fun testing out Siren:

Just raw Siren with Softamp PSA on one track

Let's see if I can finish some more of the test projects tonight.

Another one, long as a track but still just a sketch. I spent an evening with the DarkMoon, soundset for Zampler RX.

Only a bit of Lagrange and Spaceship Delay as FX, I might fiddle this into a finished track, but that would mean using non-DC'16 plugins, so this is raw.

Top stuff by resusenoise, really enjoyed it!

Cool. Posted it in a few other places. I noticed an uptick in downloads today compared to most of the previous week, I think a lot of people are spending this weekend testing the entries and still trying to decide their votes.

Only one day left :hyper:
Lots of excellent and original inventions this time.
Voting was not easy but some were sure to be in the top 5, yours is one of them :tu:

Voting still isn't easy... I still am trying to decide what to give the last 1-point vote to.

Cool! Thanks for using the RMA! I worked on an update today which will be available after the contest.

Done:
'Transpose track' menu options
Append vs. overwrite drag-n-drop option
Ability to drag multiple midi files and '.clp' sequencer clips simultaneously

To do:
Analogue step sequencer with skinable background image. This will take a while.
Much expanded preset file.
Chord / scale options.

Misc development facts:
21,363 lines of C++ code!!!
Name has changed multiple times. Some images in manual were from 'Midi Music Machine' era. Manipulators were first called 'Rule Sets'. Internal code uses old names.
Original sequencer had 9 tracks. Resulting audio was much too dense/random. Code still supports 9 tracks but GUI now limits it to 5.
Program can read '.mid' midi, '.rma' song files, '.rbs' rebirth files, '.pno' clip files, '.man' manipulator files, MPG64-R and MPG64-A files. Exports to .mid, .rma, .pno, .man, MPG64-R, and MPG64-A.
Rebirth importing was done solely by reverse engineering .RBS files. Much trial and error involved.
95% of code was written in a hotel while traveling for my job (I am in one now).
The program, in my mind, is about 10% done. Look for updates in the future!

A little funky tune to demo the qyooo VSTi, accompanied by the great Slam by Extend of the Jam.

Almost KVR OSC conditions here! :hihi:
Slam: 1 instance
the qyooo: 9 instances
LoudMax: 1 instance
No EQing
Some (non-modulating!) Reaper effects
Recorded with Reaper 64

Loving the tracks here! Great work.

Here's a thing I made to promote Lagrange that never got used:
https://blend.io/perambulum/lagrange-vst-demo

It's an FL version of the Lagrange VST demo track (originally a reaper project) using only Image Line stock synths, drum samples and Lagrange. You can download the project file from blend.io.

Not entirely within the goal of this thread but i thought I'd post it somewhere since I'd gone to the trouble of creating it.

Perhaps I'll make another version using some more of the KVRDC entries now that I have a bit more time.

Enjoy,
Dave
