Error (8) Invalid data format - Sylenth1 V3.009 - MAC OSX 10.7.5

My production friend and I just upgraded both our macbook computers to Sylenth v3.009. He started a project using sylenth and a purchased 3rd party preset pack. Then sent the project to me using Splice.com like we always do to share projects between each other. When I try to open the project it gives Error (8) "Invalid data format". After clicking ok several times, the project will open, however all the sylenth sounds default to the same number preset in the bank they were in the 3rd party pack, but in the factory bank. I noticed other users on the forum had error (1) and when they renamed the Factorybank1.fxb and Factorybank2.fxb --> FactoryBank1.fxb (uppercase B) it fixed the problem. I did this and am still receiving same error (8) invalid data format. Also tried to rename my 3rd party .fxb to FactoryBank1.fxb and replacing the default file. Still no go
